400S is an ultra-light amplifier with a total weight of 2 kgs. Suitable for both electric and acoustic basses. Thanks to the application of the Class-D technology - the 400S is completely quiet, even at full power. Additionally, that takes care of the absence of heat dissipation, resulting in a very compact design.
It's an amplifier with a continuous power of 400 Watts. Separate gain controls for both inputs. This allows to connect two electric basses at the same time, or in case of an acoustic - 2 pickups. The LED above input 1 is a clip indicator, turning from green into red as soon as the signal is too high.
The first input has a -6 dB switch to reduce sensibility (if necessary). This could be the case while using an active bass guitar or a double bass with a separate preamp. Input 1 is also provided with a phase turn switch. That allows to connect an acoustic bass with two pickups and setting one of them out of phase.
400S is also equipped with a mute-out. The internal signal is interrupted and will be available at the mute-out to be sent to a tuning gear. The equalizer is a 4-band with frequency ranges at 80, 250, 800 and 2500 Hz (+/- 12 dB). In normal acoustic circumstances the use of the tone unit won't be necessary.
At the back, it's equipped with 2 Speakon loudspeaker outputs, a headphone output and a symmetrical line-out with a pre-post switch. That feature controls the source of the line-out signal.
The loudspeaker output has a minimal load of 4 Ohms, making it possible to connect two cabinets at 8 Ohms each. Controllable headphone output. Built-in start delay and protected against a short circuit and clipping. The 400S is driven by a Class-D power amplifier, resulting in an extremely stable and noiseless performance.
